Customer Service - Electrical Engineer

Summary of Position:

Zero Motorcycles is currently looking for a Customer Service - Electrical Engineer. This position will support partners (including dealers and distributors) by responding to inquiries and technical requests about the electrical aspects of Zero Motorcycle’s products. You will provide second-tier troubleshooting guidance for electrical field issues experienced by owner’s motorcycles and work with our partners to ensure each issue is resolved in a timely and high quality manner. This guidance primarily will consist of reviewing log files and suggesting symptom diagnostic approaches. When necessary, you will escalate issues to the product development or manufacturing operations teams to expedite their resolution.

On a weekly basis, you will analyze electrical technical issues to identify trends and recommend improvements in tools, training or documentation to eliminate or acceleration the resolution of future problems. This analysis will also be used to deliver a weekly top ten electrical issues list to be reviewed with the product development team. This position is full time M-F and will be working at our Scotts Valley, California headquarters and will report to the Customer Service Manager.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide rapid and accurate responses to partners’ questions by telephone and email
  • Conduct remote technical support and troubleshooting sessions via LogMeIn
  • Record details of interactions with partners in our Salesforce CRM system
  • Communicate and coordinate with internal departments including development and manufacturing operations to ensure escalated issues are resolved in a timely manner
  • Help improve diagnostic tools by providing detailed feedback to our technical training and development teams
  • Where necessary, draft service bulletins, service instructions or system diagnostics for review and release by our technical training team
  • Participate in on-going product training to improve overall technical skill
Required Education/Experience:
  • BS in Electrical Engineering
  • Experience using standard electronic test instruments (understanding of motorcycles, automobiles or electric vehicles a plus)
  • Must be able to demonstrate proficiency with a computer including connecting external devices (USB, RS232, programming devices), using terminal programs, retrieving and storing files in remote locations and configuring systems with new software
  • Proficiency with basic computer applications including Word and Excel (experience with Salesforce.com a plus)

Jr. Buyer

Summary of Position:

Zero Motorcycles is currently looking for a Junior Buyer who will manage the purchasing transactions for assigned suppliers and commodities. This is an entry level position in supply management but the personnel will become critical in ensuring execution of supplier strategies, material availability for production line and internal customers, and cooperation with internal stakeholders. This position is full time M-F and will be working at our Scotts Valley, California headquarters and will report to the Purchasing Manager.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage purchasing transactions to ensure material/service availability for product line and internal customers.
    • Review/execute planned purchasing orders for inventory purchases
    • Review Buyer Workbench in ERP for rescheduling or cancellation messages
    • Analyze supply & demand to confirm the system generated by request
    • Maintain relevant purchasing data
    • Ownership of purchase order and material from order to delivery and payment
  • Act as the daily interface between Zero and the assigned suppliers.
  • Cooperate with internal stakeholders (commodity management, engineering, planning, logistics, quality, etc) to ensure alignment of supply strategies, demand accuracy, appropriate prioritization of the material issues, etc.
Required Education/Experience:
  • Bachelor degree (B.A. or B.S.) or equivalent.
Skills and Attributes:
  • Strong interest in business transactions, purchasing, and supply management.
  • Willingness and capability of processing relatively large amount of information/data and drawing meaningful conclusion/observation quickly.

Social Media Manager

Summary of Position:

Zero Motorcycles is currently looking for a Social Media Manager. The Social Media Manager is responsible for implementing the company’s social media marketing. Administration includes content strategy, development of brand awareness, and generation of inbound traffic and cultivation of leads and sales inquiries using social media channels including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Vimeo, Pinterest and enthusiast blogs and forums. The Social Media manager is a highly motivated individual with experience and a passion for designing and implementing, social media content, strategy, creating relevant content, blogging, community participation and leadership. Equally important to the job function is creating programs and managing initiatives that focus on current customers/owners with the goal of leveraging them as brand advocates and ambassadors. This position is full time M-F and will be working at our Scotts Valley, California headquarters and will report to the VP of Marketing.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage Social Media marketing campaigns and day-to-day activities including:
    • Curate relevant content to reach the company’s ideal customers.
    • Create, curate, and manage all published content (images, video and written).
    • Monitor, listen and respond to users in a “Social” way while cultivating leads and sales.
    • Conduct online advocacy and open stream for cross-promotions.
    • Develop and expand community and/or blogger outreach efforts.
    • Oversee design (i.e.: Facebook Timeline cover, profile pic, thumbnails, ads, landing pages, Twitter profile, and blog).
    • Design, create and manage promotions and Social ad campaigns.
  • Become an advocate for the Company in Social Media spaces, engaging in dialogues and answering questions where appropriate.

  • Monitor trends in Social Media tools, applications, channels, design and strategy.
  • Identify threats and opportunities in user generated content surrounding the business. Report notable threats to appropriate management.
  • Analyze campaigns and translate anecdotal or qualitative data into recommendations and plans for revising the Social Media campaigns.
  • Monitor effective benchmarks (best practices) for measuring the impact of Social Media campaigns. Analyze, review, and report on effectiveness of campaigns in an effort to maximize results.
  • Compile report for management showing results (ROI).
Required Education/Experience:
  • Marketing degree preferred or minimum of 5 years of experience in social media marketing communications, content creation and copy writing functions. Examples of previous work may be requested.
Skills and Attributes:
  • Possesses knowledge and experience in the tenets of traditional marketing. Demonstrates creativity and documented immersion in Social Media. (Give links to profiles as examples).
  • Proficient in content marketing theory and application. Experience sourcing and managing content development and publishing.

Sales Operations Analyst

Summary of Position:

Zero Motorcycles is currently looking for a Sales Operations Analyst. This position works in the intersection of sales, manufacturing, shipping and accounting departments, and is in support of the Sales Teams’ activities for the sale of Zero Motorcycles vehicles worldwide. Reporting to the Director of North American Sales, the Analyst will be responsible for regular and ad-hoc reporting, supporting the sales staff, and providing essential information for the VP of Sales and Marketing, as well as the whole Executive Team. This position is full time exempt and will be working in our Scotts Valley, California headquarters and will report within the Sales Organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Analytics: Providing analytical support primarily to the global Sales organization, but also working with other business units (Marketing, Finance, Aftersales etc.) on an ad hoc basis.

This includes but is not limited to:

  • Prepare and maintain the weekly and monthly Sales reports.
  • Prepare ad hoc analysis to support the decision making of the Director of Sales, VP of Sales and Marketing, and the Executive Team.
  • Work with other business units on joint tasks; provide analytical support to their teams when needed.
  • Champion the yearly planning of the Sales organization; coordinate with the planning efforts of Marketing, Operation and Production.
  • Proactively analyze leads, wholesale and retail data and prepare recommendations to improve the business processes based on those findings.
  • Continuously improve the data collection and management procedures at Zero Motorcycles.

  • Learning / Further developing Salesforce.com administrator skills.
Required Education/Experience:
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in a corporate environment.
  • BA in business/economics, or 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Corporate / sales reporting experience.
  • Familiarity with dashboard reporting is an advantage.
  • Experience in cleaning datasets, maintaining data integrity.
  • Deep understanding of Excel is required.
  • Experience with scenario building and analysis.
  • Experience in graphically presenting findings to senior level stakeholders.
  • Minimum basic level of Power Point; ThinkCell experience a plus.
  • Minimum level of SQL experience.

Summary of Position:

Zero Motorcycles is currently looking for a Sales Operations Salesforce.com Administrator. This position works in the intersection of sales, manufacturing, shipping and accounting departments, and is in support of global bike distribution and Sales Teams activities for the sale of Zero Motorcycles vehicles worldwide. Mainly focusing on the maintenance and continuous development of the corporate Salesforce.com application, but also providing support for vehicle administration and reporting. This position is full time exempt and will be working in our Scotts Valley, California headquarters and will report within the Sales Organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales Operations and Administration: Responsible for sales operations, administration and analysis of vehicles sold by Zero Motorcycles through dealers, distributors and in some cases direct to consumers. Coordinates Zero Motorcycles systems including Salesforce to ensure proper reporting and analysis in support of the Executive Team needs as assigned by the Director of Sales.

This includes but is not limited to:

  • Salesforce.com administration and process documentation.
  • Support of global bike distribution.
  • Report building and analysis in support of global bike distribution.
  • Production of weekly and ad-hoc reports for Director of Sales.
  • Dealership reporting and analysis in support of retail channel for Director of Sales.
  • Together with the Manager of Sales Operations, identifies gaps and issues with the current Salesforce system and works out the project plan to resolve them.
  • Contributes to the issue resolution, manages the internal stakeholders and external consultants during development projects, and ensures timely project delivery.
  • Supports yearly sales planning process.
